Ogie Alcasid was asked about this issue
Seasoned singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid reacted to the issue being thrown at the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime.
Ogie initially became part of the Showtime family as one of the “hurados” of the segment Tawag ng Tanghalan. Eventually, he became a regular host of the Kapamilya noontime show.
Just recently, the show celebrated its 15th anniversary and Ogie joined the annual “Magpasikat” with his teammates Kim Chiu, MC, and Lassy. Their group won this year’s showcase of talents. They donated their prize to the Angat Buhay Foundation for the victims of typhoon Kristine.
Even though the show continues to achieve success, issues are being thrown at it. Currently, it is also airing on GMA and GTV. It was rumored that the show will end its airing on the Kapuso networks in December.
Aside from this, there were also issues thrown at some hosts of the show. This was the reason why Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda spoke about the supposed “demolition job” against It’s Showtime.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Pang-Masa, Ogie Alcasid was also asked about the rumor that Showtime on GMA is just until December. “‘Di ko alam, eh. I think, wala namang may alam. But it’s hanging in the air. So, siyempre, lahat kami… sanay na kami,” the seasoned singer-songwriter said. Then, he added, “Bahala na.”

Amid this rumor, Ogie expressed gratitude to GMA for supporting their show. “In fairness talaga sa GMA, talagang pinaglaban nila kami. Especially Ma’m Annette (Gozon-Valdes, GMA top executive). Very welcoming, alam naman namin ‘yan nu’ng Ball,” he said.
Ogie Alcasid also said that he felt honored to be part of this history in the entertainment industry. He is hoping that they can do it longer but if not, life goes on.
When asked about the rumors that It’s Showtime’s contract with GMA is just six months, he said that he has no idea about this. Although he heard about this, he does not know the real deal.
