Prominent businessman Charlie ‘Atong’ Ang has released a statement regarding the accusation that he had relationships with sisters Claudine and Gretchen Barretto, as well as their niece Nicole.

In a message sent by Ang to Henry Omaga-Diaz, a veteran ABS-CBN journalist, he clarified what his relationship is with the three Barrettos.

According to Ang, Nicole was not his girlfriend. The younger Barretto was only handling his flight schedule and scheduled meetings back then.

“Regarding Nicole, about four to 11 years ago, I was with her mom. Whatever our relationship was, Gretchen had nothing to do with it.”

“My relationship with Nicole, was like someone handling my flights and my schedule back then. Nicole, I studied her, her mom worked for me.”

He then explained his real status with Gretchen.

The businessman clarified that his partners in cockfighting and casinos are the elder Barretto and her “common-in-law” husband Tony Boy Cojuangco.

“I have a junket in casinos, Tony is my partner in Okada. Gretchen is close to my wife,” Ang said.
