The Saturday noontime battle showed some ratings improvement, with “It’s Showtime” and ‘EAT…Bulaga’ both trending upward compared to their weekday performances. On Sunday, the competition between long-time rivals ASAP and ‘All-Out Sundays (AOS)’ became even tighter.

According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, the Kapamilya noontime show saw an increase in ratings, as did its competitor ‘EAT…Bulaga’ during their weekend episodes. Meanwhile, ASAP recorded its narrowest rating gap yet against the Kapuso show AOS.

On Saturday, August 10, “It’s Showtime” registered a 7.7 percent rating, securing the fifth spot on the overall Saturday leaderboard. ‘EAT…Bulaga,’ on the other hand, posted a 4.1 percent rating, placing 11th.

These numbers indicate notable improvements for both noontime shows compared to their weekday averages, with “It’s Showtime” typically scoring 7.5 percent and ‘EAT…Bulaga’ averaging 3.8 percent.

In the Sunday noontime showdown, ABS-CBN’s ASAP also made significant gains, posting its closest rating gap against AOS to date.

On Sunday, August 11, ASAP achieved a 2.8 percent rating, just 0.2 percent behind AOS’s 3.0 percent. ASAP secured the 12th spot on the overall Sunday ratings chart, while AOS placed 10th.

This marks the narrowest margin between the two Sunday variety shows in recent weeks. On August 4, AOS led by a wider margin, scoring 3.2 percent to ASAP’s 2.3 percent. The gap was even more pronounced on July 21, when AOS registered a 3.6 percent rating compared to ASAP’s 2.2 percent

The question now is whether ASAP can sustain its rating improvement or if it will slip back to its previous averages.
