Unkabogable star Vice Ganda has once again raised concerns about the proliferation of fake news, following a revealing segment on ‘EXpecially For You.’

During the episode, ex-couple CJ and Zach discussed how inspirational quotes they encountered on social media influenced their relationship, ultimately contributing to their breakup.

In a lighthearted moment, CJ mentioned that some of the quotes he read were supposedly attributed to Vice Ganda. This prompted the host to address the issue head-on.

“Eto ang pagkakamali ng marami. Katulad ng mga nababasa niyo (na) quote tungkol sa akin, by the way hindi lahat ng mga nababasa ninyong quote sa Facebook ay totoong nanggaling sa akin,” Vice Ganda clarified.

The host expressed his own surprise at seeing numerous quotes attributed to him on social media, explaining that he often double-checks with his social media team to verify their authenticity.

He further explained that he has deliberately chosen not to comment on certain issues, yet he continues to see false quotes linked to his name circulating online.

In addition to debunking fake news, Vice Ganda also advised the ex-couple to avoid comparing their personal lives to what they see on social media.

This reminder from Vice Ganda serves as a crucial call to action for social media users to practice discernment and critical thinking, ensuring that the information they share and believe is accurate and reliable.
