Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla featured a post about saying no and this garnered speculations that this was connected to the recent viral statement made by her father Senator Robin Padilla.

To recall, the Senator had a controversial statement about marital consent. He was pointing out that men have urges and if the wife is not in the mood, then, how can that be? The lawmaker said this during the hearing conducted by the Committee on Public Information and Mass Media.

This did not sit well with many netizens and they criticized on social media. Atty. Lorna Kapunan contradicted him by saying that no means no even if this happens between two married people.

Sen. Robin Padilla explained his controversial question. He apologized but defended that discussing this matter is not really being done. After that, the lawmaker received support from his wife showbiz personality Mariel Padilla by posting, “Oh may consent yan ah”.

Amid this issue, Sen. Robin’s daughter Kylie Padilla shared a post that caught the attention of the online community. The Kapuso actress shared a reel on her Instagram Story which was from the IG page “Female Quotient.”

In the video, Hollywood twins Ashly and Mary-Kate Olsen highlighted what they believe and practice and that is “No is a full sentence.” When the host asked them what they meant about this, they said that they could say “no” if they did not want to do a certain thing.

The twins have been in the industry since they were little kids and as they grew older they definitely became more vocal about saying “no” to a certain point. Their younger sister Elizabeth Olsen echoed what they believed. Elizabeth said that he loves this in every aspect, especially from the perspective of being a woman.
