Belle Mariano Says Her Chemistry with Donny Pangilinan in ‘He’s Into Her’ Is Unexpected

If you’ve been living under a rock, we have good news for you: best-selling book from Wattpad He’s Into Her is coming to the small screen this April, directed by Chad Vidanes.

Authored by Maxine Lat, He’s Into Her is a feel-good romantic comedy with a ‘coming of age’ vibe, and Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan are leading its front as Maxpein Zin Del Valle and Deib Lohr Enrile.

To give you a rundown of what to expect next month: Maxpein is a proud probinsiyana given the opportunity to study in an international school, where she meets the arrogant and obnoxious Deib—and of course, sparks fly. The classic and loved enemies-to-lovers. Plus, according to the director, here’s the catch: will Max change herself just to fit in or will she spark this change to the people around her?

He’s Into Her marks DonBelle’s—as the fans like to call them—first project together, and following the lead of iconic Filipino love teams JaDine, KathNiel, LizQuen—DonBelle is already giving fans off-the-charts chemistry—and the best thing? Because of their chemistry, the reception He’s Into Her is getting is already wild, and their show has yet to air!

In an interview, Belle Mariano also disclosed that the chemistry seen with co-star Donny by fans was very unexpected, because it was “awkward” at the beginning of their shoot pre-pandemic. “Hindi pa kami nakakapag-usap masyado,” Belle shared. “Pero nung nag lock-in kami, talagang nagkakilala na kami.”

Belle described Donny as a joy to work with, as he is very professional and encouraging, especially when Belle needs help finding the emotion of her character. “Kitang-kita ko po yung passion niya ‘pag nagwo-work kami,” Belle added.

The young actress also shared that she never expected to have a love team with anyone, but that she only felt excitement with their upcoming project.

Fans are highly anticipating the premiere of He’s Into Her this coming April, as the series will also star Joao Costancia, Kaori Oinuma, Ashley Del Mundo, Vivoree Esclito, Criza Taa, Jeremiah Lisbo, Melizza Jimenez, Dalia Varde, Limer Veloso, and Gello Marquez.
